The Evolv system uses low-frequency radio waves, similar to systems used in most high street shops and supermarkets. It allows people to enter the building without stopping and with personal items remaining in pockets and bags.
It means we no longer have to do invasive and time-consuming bag searches making the visitor arrival a quicker and more pleasant experience. It makes the building more secure by detecting any potentially dangerous or threatening items.
The system uses cameras as part of the screening process to detect any potentially dangerous or threatening items. The cameras however work in real time and no images or data are recorded or stored.
If the alarm is activated when you walk through the system, you will need to undergo a manual bag search or body wand before you will be allowed entry into the building. Visitors who refuse to abide with these requests will not be allowed entry into the venue.
